The Great Emerging Franchise Challenge has assembled a group of top professionals from a variety of disciplines, to select the next Great Emerging Franchise.

Anita Campbell is the founder and CEO of Small Business Trends, an online community reaching over one million small business owners and stakeholders annually. Anita is a former corporate General Counsel and technology company executive. She also runs, a social media site targeted to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Christian Faulconer is responsible for corporate strategy and business development at Franchise Foundry. In 2010 Christian was ranked one of the “top 40 under 40″ by Utah Business magazine. In both 2007 and 2008, he was selected as a member of the v|100, vSpring Capital’s Top Venture Entrepreneurs in Utah. Christian is a well-respected and highly successful professional who has a diverse and proven background in taking small businesses from start to large, profitable exits.
Mark Franklin is the Founder of Process Peak, LLC a franchise sales software company, . Mark has held the positions of COO, President and Vice President of Franchise Sales and Marketing and has been in franchising for the past 24 years overseeing operations that have awarded over 800 franchises in the U.S. as well as Master Licenses in over 30 countries around the world. Companies that Mark has been employed by are Money Mailer, Service Brands International (Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman and 1-800 Dry Clean), Super Coups (division of ADVO), DOOR Training (Raytheon) as well as the acquisition of Liberty Fitness Holdings. His area of expertise has been in working with companies in the area of sales and marketing in helping them develop and re-tool their sales and marketing processes and efforts to achieve their goals.
Brad Fishman is one of the most well-connected individuals in the franchise industry. As a noted franchising and public relations international speaker and expert, he has spent more than 20 years helping franchise clients develop successful lead generation campaigns through successful public relations efforts. Go to any franchise event here or overseas, and chances are Brad will be there as either an active participant or a keen observer. This keeps him constantly in-tune with the latest trends, news, legislation and faces in the franchise industry.

Mary Ann O’Connell, President of FranWise. A full-service franchise consulting firm that launches new franchise concepts and helps emerging brands optimize their operations and franchise relations.Mary Ann has also served as VP of Franchise Support Services of Money Mailer in the US, Canada and Chile, Director of Operations for AIM Mail Centers, Revamped training program, manuals and unit-level economics, franchise relations, Regional Director of Great Clips. Ryan Smith has specialized in franchise law since 2003. He focuses his practice on the representation of franchisors, franchisees and prospective franchise purchasers. He drafts franchise agreements and disclosure materials, reviews franchise documents for franchisees, and represents franchisors and franchise buyers in purchase negotiations and contractual disputes.

Ryan also provides a range of business services, including services related to: formation of corporations and limited liability companies, business sales and purchases, lease review, and estate planning.

Todd Taskey is a 25+ year entrepreneur who helps small company CEO’s build maximum value in their company by creating and structuring successful transactions. As a principal in Stonecroft Capital and Potomac Business Capital, he provides investment banking services in addition to creating very successful joint ventures and strategic relationships opening new markets and revenue opportunities. John Warrillow John Warrillow is the author of Built To Sell: Turn Your Business Into One You Can Sell. Throughout his career as an entrepreneur, John has started and exited four companies. Most recently he transformed Warrillow & Co. from a boutique consultancy into a recurring revenue model subscription business, which he sold to The Corporate Executive Board (NASDAQ: EXBD) in 2008.
